Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy describes how VegaTrade uses cookies and similar technologies on the marketing website at vegatrade.ai (the "Site"). It supplements the Privacy Policy.

1. Current Posture: Analytics Cookies Only

The VegaTrade marketing site uses Google Analytics 4 ("GA4"), a web-analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors find and use the Site. GA4 is the only thing on the Site that sets cookies. Specifically:

• Analytics cookies (the only cookies we set). Google Analytics sets first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_<id> (and may set related cookies as documented by Google) to distinguish visitors and maintain session state. These are first-party cookies and typically expire up to two years after your most recent visit.
• No advertising or marketing cookies. No retargeting tags, no advertising pixels, no social-media trackers. We have disabled Google Signals, so GA4 does not build a cross-device or advertising profile of you.
• IP anonymization is on. The Site instructs GA4 to anonymize IP addresses, so your full IP address is not stored by the analytics service.
• No browser-storage cookie-equivalents set by the Site itself for tracking (no localStorage, sessionStorage, or IndexedDB tracking).

The data GA4 collects for us is limited to aggregate usage signals: pages viewed, approximate location (country/region/city, derived without storing your full IP), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the Site (for example, a search engine or a referring link). We use it only to improve the Site. Your browser may also store standard HTTP cache headers for static assets (favicon, OG image, CSS, fonts) — those are not tracking cookies.

2. What Cookies Are

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. When you return to the same site, your browser sends the cookie back so the site can recognize you, remember your preferences, or track your activity. Cookies can be set by the site you are visiting (first-party) or by another site whose content is embedded on the page you are visiting (third-party).

3. Cookie Categories

Cookies are commonly classified into the categories below. This section explains each category and states which the Site currently uses.

Essential cookies

Strictly necessary for a site or platform to function. Examples: session cookies that maintain an authenticated user's login state. Essential cookies do not require consent under most privacy laws. The marketing Site does not currently set essential cookies (it has no login).

Functional cookies

Remember your preferences (for example, a theme or language choice). Functional cookies do not track you across sites. The Site does not currently set functional cookies.

Analytics cookies

Measure how visitors use the Site so we can improve it. The Site uses analytics cookies — Google Analytics 4, as described in Section 1. The provider is Google LLC; the data points collected are the aggregate usage signals listed in Section 1; the opt-out paths are described in Section 4. We have enabled IP anonymization and disabled Google Signals to minimize the data involved.

Marketing / advertising cookies

Track visitors across sites for advertising or retargeting purposes. The Site does NOT use marketing or advertising cookies. If that posture ever changes, this policy will be updated and an opt-in consent interface will be presented before any marketing cookie is set.

4. How to Control or Opt Out of Analytics Cookies

You can prevent or remove the Site's Google Analytics cookies in any of these ways:

• Browser controls. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their privacy or site-data settings. Blocking cookies for vegatrade.ai stops GA4 from identifying repeat visits. The Site continues to function normally with cookies disabled.
• Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Google provides a browser add-on that disables Google Analytics measurement across all sites you visit: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
• Tracking-protection features. Many browsers and privacy extensions block analytics requests outright; the Site does not attempt to circumvent them.

Google's own handling of the data it collects is governed by Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

5. Do Not Track

Some browsers send a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") signal. There is no industry-standard way for sites to respond to DNT, and Google Analytics does not change its behavior based on it. We do not separately alter the Site's analytics behavior in response to DNT; instead, the controls in Section 4 (browser cookie settings and Google's opt-out add-on) are the reliable ways to opt out of analytics on this Site.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy whenever the Site's cookie posture changes. Material changes will be reflected in the Effective Date at the top of this page.
